Two Maids & A Mop provides residential cleaning services to homeowners throughout the Tidewater Area.

My wife Deborah and I both grew up working with our parents and siblings in a family business. My wife grew up outside of Albany, NY working with her father who is a taxidermist and I grew up in Stratford, CT working with my family in the restaurant business. We learned a lot about sacrifice and hard work but we also learned a lot about family and what it means to be a part of the community you live in. We are the proud parents of Delaney Leigh who will be attending the Legal Studies Academy at First Colonial High School in the fall and Riley Fenn who is participating in the IB program at Plaza Middle while playing middle school and AAU basketball. We have been Virginia Beach residents for over 17 years and we are very thankful to call this city our home.

After 20 years in the insurance industry I took stock of what was most important to me in life and it was clear that those items were not being fulfilled by corporate America. I was traveling 50% of the time and working a minimum of 50 hours a week while my family watched me come and go week after week. My wife was managing a stressful career as well as an extremely busy household with two teens on her own. My weeks were filled with obligations that contributed to solving someone else’s problems and furthering someone else’s dream. I would leave Monday morning and return Thursday Night, fill the weekend with girls basketball tournaments, chorus concerts and check items off the honey-do list before packing up and leaving for the week again.

As a senior manager in corporate America I preached “family first” to my staff and I realized I was not taking my own advice. I am a husband and a father before everything else and after several years on the road it became painfully clear that I missed my family and I missed my community.
